BHJ's Harmonic Damper Installer is a high quality, precision-machined tool that enables the proper press-fit installation of all harmonic dampers and is designed for a lifetime of use. Manufactured from fully heat-treated,alloy steel, the HD-1 incorporates a Torrington thrust bearing and washers for smooth, effortless damper installation.
CAUTION: Improper installation of any harmonic damper (hammer, etc.) typically causes damage to both the crankshaft snout and damper hub and will void any warranties for those parts. Use of this installer will help to prevent these issues.
The kit includes two mounting bolts and thread adapters for use on crankshafts that are tapped for 3/8"-24, 7/16"-20, 1/2"-20, 5/8"-18 and 3/4"-16 SAE threads (see inset photo below).
Metric thread adapters are also available separately.
